- Which trees, and how much of each. One tree or several, cut close to the ground or left at an agreed trunk height, and any pruning on trees that stay.
- How the crew will reach the tree. The equipment and access route near roofs, pool screens and fences, and whether the plan depends on taking down a fence panel or working from a neighbor’s yard.
- What happens to the wood and brush. What is hauled away, what stays on the property, and what cleanup is included.
- Whether the stump is included. Stump grinding is part of the job only when the estimate lists it. We typically grind about 4–12 inches below grade, depending on the site and agreed scope; check whether the grindings are hauled away.
- Any paid arborist services. ISA Certified Arborist assessments and letters are separate paid services, priced in the written estimate when you need them.

Stump Extraction
Full extraction removes the entire stump and root ball.
Stump extraction removes the entire stump and root ball with excavation equipment. This method is much more destructive and expensive, and is usually reserved for new construction or land development.

- Stump ground, roots chased toward the driveway and sidewalk, and the grindings hauled away

Do You Need a Permit to Remove a Tree in Orlando?
Permit requirements depend on where the property is located (city or county), the tree’s species, size and condition, and the local regulations that apply. Some removals require a permit and others do not, so it’s worth checking before any work begins.
Under Florida Statute 163.045, qualifying trees on eligible single-family residential properties may be exempt from local government notice, application, permit, approval, fee, mitigation and replanting requirements when a signed onsite tree risk assessment establishes that the tree presents an unacceptable risk. That is different from an ordinary arborist letter, which documents a tree’s condition but does not by itself replace a required permit. Our ISA Certified Arborist evaluates each tree individually and provides the appropriate documentation when the requirements are met. Not every tree qualifies, HOA requirements are separate, and certified arborist assessments and letters are paid services priced in your written estimate.
