How deep do you grind stumps?
Usually about 4–12 inches below grade, depending on the roots and site conditions. That’s enough for sod or replanting in most yards. If you need it deeper for a specific project, tell us when you ask for a quote.
What happens to the wood chips?
Your choice: we can leave them in the hole, spread them as mulch, or haul them away. Chips settle as they break down, so a little topsoil on top helps if you’re laying sod.
Can you grind stumps in a fenced back yard?
It depends on the gate width and the route to the stump. Tell us the gate width and send a photo, and we’ll confirm before scheduling.
How much does stump grinding cost?
It depends on diameter, access, roots and chip haul-away. On our Oviedo jobs it ran about $100–$250 per stump when added to other work and $200–$675 as a separate visit. We give you a written quote first.
