Our Story
Kevin’s Tree Service was started in 1987 by Kevin, who built the business on honest work and dependable tree care for local homeowners.
In 2016, David Grantz bought the company. He had sold his technology business and wanted work he could do outdoors, face to face with customers. David and his wife Nicole, married since 2001, run the business today while raising their five children.
We’re still locally owned and run from our office in Oviedo. We’re not a franchise. The crews that do the work live in the same communities we serve.

How We Work
Tree work is risky for people and property. These are the habits we keep on every job.
We look before we quote
We walk the property, look at the tree, the access and what’s around it, and give you a written estimate that spells out the work, cleanup and haul-away.
We plan the job before cutting
Drop zones, rigging and equipment placement are worked out first. Where it lowers risk, we use our grapple saw crane or spider lift to reach the tree.
We protect your property

We tell you what the tree needs
If a tree can be saved with pruning instead of removal, we’ll say so. Our tree care work is overseen by an ISA Certified Arborist.

We own and run the equipment our crews use, so we can match the machine to the job and the access.
Fassi 390 grapple saw crane
Grabs, cuts and lifts trees out in sections from the street, often without climbing, and sets the wood down where it can be loaded. Crane service
CMC 72HD spider lift
Tracks through gates into tight backyards, then sets up on outriggers to put our crew safely into tall canopies a bucket truck can’t reach.
Chip trucks and chippers
Branches are chipped on site and hauled away in our chip trucks, so the brush leaves with us.
Giant loader
Our compact loader carries brush and logs to the chipper and trucks, so debris isn’t dragged across your lawn by hand.
Stump grinding equipment
Grinds stumps and surface roots below grade so the area can be replanted or sodded.
Grapple truck and support trucks
Our grapple truck loads and hauls heavy logs and storm debris that are too big to chip. Grapple truck service
