- Front oak raised and heavy moss removed
A front oak hung low over the road, spread heavy limbs over the home and was loaded with Spanish moss. From the lift we raised it to about 15 feet over the road, shortened the side limbs over the house, removed water sprouts at the base and took out up to about 80% of the moss.
- Neighbor’s oak lead cut back from the roof
An 18-inch lead from a neighbor’s live oak grew over the back of the house. A climber removed it back to the fence line and cleared other branches off the roof, then we raised low limbs over the yard with a pole saw and removed a dead limb over the shed.
- Live oak raised and thinned for wind
A live oak in a back corner had downward limbs over the yard, the roof and the road. From the lift we raised it, removed deadwood 2 inches and larger and thinned the interior so wind passes through more easily.
- Deadwood only, live limbs left alone
A silk tree out front had large deadwood and fallen limbs underneath, and the owner wanted the live growth left as is. From a spider lift we removed only the deadwood, trimmed the low branches touching the ground and cleaned up the fallen limbs.
- Rubbing limb removed, oak weight reduced
A live oak’s bottom limb was heavy over the sidewalk and road, water sprouts had come back along the house, and a low limb on another oak was rubbing against the next tree. From the lift we reduced weight on the heavy limb, cleared the sprouts off the house and removed the rubbing limb.
- Water oaks and crape myrtle shaped
Two front-yard water oaks had long limbs and hung low over the yard and sidewalk, and a crape myrtle crowded the driveway and house. From the lift we shortened the long limbs for shape, lightly raised both oaks and cleared the crape myrtle off the drive and house.
